About Little Italy
Little Italy runs along College Street west of Bathurst, a stretch still marked by its post-war Italian arrival even as the crowd has broadened. Life here is centred on the College Street sidewalk: espresso bars, trattorias, late-night patios and the soccer-fever energy that still spills out during tournaments. Streetcars run the length of College, putting downtown, Kensington and the AGO within an easy ride, and Ossington's bar scene sits a short walk south. Side streets stay quiet and residential once you step off the strip, with mature canopy and front porches built for stoop-sitting. It's a walk-and-transit neighbourhood, not a car one, and residents lean into that with grocers, bakeries and green space all within a few blocks.
